Learn About Alacritys' Comprehensive Warranty Policy

The Service provider/ company, referred to as Alacritys is in the business of Architecture and Interior Design, consultancy, blogging and affiliate works; Interior site execution works, decor and decoration, installation of such products/ services and incidental services related to the specified areas of the Client’s property (services), including but not limited to installation and provision of Third Party Products (as defined below).

Our Commitment to Quality and Service

GENERAL PROVISION

Alacritys shall not be liable for any warranty if the Client has breached the terms & conditions as set out in the company’s policy and if products get damaged due to inappropriate usage/ misuse or have been used for non-domestic purposes by the Client.

  • The Company has provided its services in a professional manner consistent with general industry standards and conformed to the requirements of the terms & conditions. Any implied warranty, including but not limited to implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose is at this moment waived.
  • Warranty provided herein (so far as applicable to Alacritys) shall be null and void, and Alacritys shall not be liable in any manner (including relation to damages and expenses that may be incurred by a Client), if:
    • The Client does not grant access to the premises (where the services are/ were provided), and the opportunity to Alacritys’ representatives to inspect, correct, or replace the alleged defective and damaged items.
    • The Client has violated the terms and conditions in any way, including but not limited to:
      • Failure to keep the products in good working order
      • Unforeseen circumstances such as force majeure: fire, storm, earthquake, etc.
      • Misuse
      • Normal wear and tear
      • Negligence
      • Repair or work on the product by a third party instead of the Alacritys maintenance team/Alacritys certified maintenance vendor
  • If the Client has breached the terms and conditions, Alacritys may take action, such as:
    • Termination of the agreement
    • Invoicing the Client for any costs incurred as a result of the breach
    • Taking legal action
  • The products or furniture have been stored incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, altered, misused, or cleaned with the wrong methods of cleaning or cleaning products or materials.
  • Unusual wear and tear, scratches, cuts or damages caused by impacts or accidents or by abnormal or unintended use of the product or furniture.
  • If products have been placed in a humid environment or if the products have been used for non-domestic purposes or outdoors (unless otherwise stated).

WARRANTY CLAIMS

A Client must show a warranty card for the particular product to claim the warranty. Also, all of Alacritys’ products do not come with a 10-year warranty; each part of the product has a different warranty unique to it.

  • The warranty card or a valid proof of purchase (invoice) from Alacritys & other vendors must be shown to avail of the warranty. Post this, the product will be repaired or replaced with the same or comparable product with a value not higher than the price of the original product purchased.
  • Due to material and finish variations, the replaced product may not be a replica of the installed product, i.e. there may be some variations due to batch differences in laminate, veneer or any other material used.
  • If repair work has been done to a product without any authorisation from Alacritys, the product’s warranty coverage is automatically deemed void.
  • All of Alacritys’ modular furniture does not automatically come with a 10-year warranty, each part of the final product has a different warranty unique to the product. We don’t cover warranty for any site works including site woodwork.
  • The hardware of the product may come with a 10-year warranty from the manufacturer and will be specifically mentioned as such, and if any.
  • All warranty products may carry a warranty card from the manufacturer. The warranty applies only to such specific parts of the product and not to the whole assembled product.
  • Warranty terms and conditions are fixed, non-negotiable, non-transferable and only benefit the original purchasers of the product.

Woodwork – Plywood – BWP Plywood, Block board, Commercial plywood 10 Years This Warranty is a structural warranty that covers delamination, edge-band peeling, bubbles in lamination and borer-infection. It also covers any bend more than 8mm, caused due to weather conditions and moisture levels in the atmosphere. Alacritys’ Plywood is borer-proof and termite-resistant. Damage to woodwork due to continuous seepage of water and/ or dampness because of seepage of water from the ceiling, flooring, walls and/ or other site conditions is covered under our warranty policy.

Damage due to misuse and negligence by the Client and normal wear and tear will not be covered.

Further, notwithstanding anything contained under the woodwork warranty, there shall be no warranty for surface damage and/ or damage due to scratches in relation to acrylic, high-gloss laminate, duco and PU, and/or veneer.
Woodwork – HDHMR MDF, HDF 5 to 10 Years This warranty is a structural warranty that covers delamination, edge-band peeling, bubbles in lamination and borer infection. It also covers any bend more than 8mm, caused due to weather conditions and moisture levels in the atmosphere. Damage to woodwork due to continuous seepage of water and/ or dampness because of seepage of water from ceiling, flooring, walls and/ or other site conditions is not covered under our warranty policy Damage due to misuse and negligence by the Client and normal wear and tear will not be covered.

Further, notwithstanding anything contained under the woodwork warranty, there shall be no warranty for surface damage and/ or damage due to scratches in relation to acrylic, high-gloss laminate, duco PU, and/or veneer.
Woodwork – Particle Board, Chipboard 3 Years This warranty is a structural warranty that covers delamination, edge-band peeling, bubbles in lamination and borer infection. It also covers any bend more than 8mm, caused due to weather conditions and moisture levels in the atmosphere. Damage to woodwork due to continuous seepage of water and/ or dampness because of seepage of water from the ceiling, flooring, walls and/ or other site conditions is not covered under warranty.

Damage due to misuse and negligence by the Client and normal wear and tear will not be covered.

Further, notwithstanding anything contained under the woodwork warranty, there shall be no warranty for surface damage and/ or damage due to scratches in relation to acrylic, high-gloss laminate, duco PU, and/or veneer.

The woodwork warranty shall be null and void, and Alacritys shall not be liable if the damage is due to:

  • Continuous seepage of water/dampness. Misuse, normal wear and tear; and /or Negligence; an dismantling and shifting is done by any person other than the Alacritys’ qualified and authorized representatives.
  • The decision of Alacritys in relation to whether the damage is due to seepage/ dampness, misuse, normal wear and tear and/or negligence (as provided herein) shall be final and binding on the Client.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Alacritys will first try to fix the defective or damaged woodwork under the woodwork warranty. Only if Alacritys (at its sole discretion) determines that the repair is not feasible will it replace the defective or damaged woodwork under the woodwork warranty. The Customer agrees that Alacritys’ decision (as provided therein) will be final and binding.

Any scratch on the exposed furniture should be visible from a distance of 3 feet. Otherwise, it is considered a minor scratch and won’t be considered in the replacement warranty.

Further, please note that if the Client is required to purchase and install a more valuable material under the woodwork warranty, then the Client cannot claim/recover the additional value of the better material.

THIRD-PARTY PRODUCTS

Alacritys in the course of undertaking the project, will/ has to provide certain materials, equipment, appliances and goods manufactured, fabricated, assembled and/or sold by third-party vendors, distributors, and manufacturers (“Third Party Products”).

In relation there to Alacritys hereby assigns (to the extent they are assignable) and conveys to the Client all manufacturers and supplier warranties together with operating instructions, if available (“Third Party Products”).

The Third Party Products that are subject to the Third Party Warranties cover:

Countertops: All counter tops natural and artificial, specifically granite and engineered stone such as quartz stone, engineered marble etc 1 Year Warranty covers any cracks, staining and leakage during and immediately after installation works by Alacritys. The warranty does not cover fading of colour and cracks in the stone due to manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover marble, other natural stones such as onyx, sandstone, limestone, slate, etc. and artificial stones such as solid surface stones (also known as Corian), etc.
Hardware: Manufacturer’s warranty on products. Period as defined by the Manufacturer – Up to 10 Years Warranty as per terms given by the specific brands Exceptions are as per the terms given by the brands
False Ceiling & Installation: Manufacturer’s warranty on products 1 Year Warranty covers any damage within the 1 year of installation will be repaired by Alacritys. This does not cover any damage caused by the Client or its agents/ representatives.
Electrical Appliances: Manufacturer’s Warranty. Appliance installation is done by the manufacturer Period as defined by the manufacturer Warranty terms as defined by the manufacturer Exclusions as defined by the manufacturer
Mirrors, Glass & Fragile Items: Manufacturer’s Warranty Period as defined by the manufacturer Warranty terms as defined by the manufacturer. No warranty from Alacritys Exclusions as defined by the manufacturer
Gas Piping, Tiling & Civil Works: Manufacturer’s Warranty Period as defined by the manufacturer Warranty terms as defined by the manufacturer Exclusions as defined by the manufacturer
Sinks, Taps & Plumbing Installation: Manufacturer’s Warranty on the Products Period as defined by the Manufacturer-Up to 10 years. No warranty for the installation of taps and drainpipes for leakage after Handover. Any leakage during and immediately after installation works by Alacritys will be corrected by Alacritys.
Electrical Switches & LED Lights: Manufacturer’s warranty on products Period as defined by the Manufacturer-Up to 1 year. Warranty terms as defined by the manufacturer. No warranty from Alacritys Exclusions as defined by the manufacturer
Electrical Wire: Manufacturer’s Warranty Period as defined by the manufacturer Warranty terms as defined by the manufacturer Exclusions as defined by the manufacturer

It is hereby clarified that in the event there is any conflict between the Terms and Conditions contained herein, and the Third-Party warranties, the Third-Party warranties shall prevail.

This is provided that Alacritys is not providing any warranty (express and/ or implied) with the Third Party Products and shall not be liable in relation thereof. Therefore, the Client’s sole remedy to the Third-Party products lies with the third-party vendors and manufacturers.

Please note that for every new product and/or service offered by the Alacritys, the Third-Party warranties extended by the supplier of the new product and/or Alacritys of the services, as the case be, shall prevail.

Refunds And Service Adjustments

Warranty claims are subject to the material specifications and service scope mentioned in our policy. Refunds, if applicable, are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, available in our Business Terms & Conditions.

What type of warranty does Alacritys offer for turnkey projects?

We offer a limited-time warranty that covers workmanship and quality issues for turnkey interior or architectural execution. This includes modular furniture, cabinetry, wall treatments, and other installed items, as specified in the agreement.

Do furniture items and fittings come with a brand warranty?

Yes. All modular components, hardware, lighting, and branded fixtures sourced by Alacritys include the original manufacturer's warranty, which is passed on to the client.

What does the workmanship warranty cover?

It covers issues like cabinet misalignment, peeling finishes, faulty joinery, and improper installations caused by execution errors, typically for a period of 6 to 12 months post-handover.

What is not covered under the warranty?

Damages due to misuse, accidents, water leakage from external sources, wear and tear, or third-party modifications are not covered. Full exclusions are shared during the contract signing.

How can I raise a service or warranty request?

Simply contact us with your project ID, a brief description of the issue, and supporting photos. Our team will evaluate and arrange for rectification based on warranty terms.

Is there a service visit fee during the warranty period?

No service charges apply for eligible issues under warranty. However, visits for non-covered concerns may attract a nominal service fee, which will be communicated in advance.

Do Vastu-related remedies or changes post-project fall under warranty?

No. Vastu-related changes requested after handover are treated as a new scope and are not covered under warranty.

Can warranty terms vary based on project scope?

Yes, warranty duration and coverage may differ for design-only, partial turnkey, or full turnkey projects. Specific terms are always outlined in your agreement for transparency.
