Alacritys transformed Dakshin Cafe in Pune into a cozy, elegant café space that blends warmth, style, and mindful design. With only 600 sq.ft., the challenge was to maximize comfort, ambiance, and aesthetic appeal while preserving flow and functionality. The Design Journey

When the owners of Dakshin Cafe came to us, they imagined a café that felt like a retreat—a place where people could unwind, enjoy food and coffee, and feel uplifted by the surroundings. The space was small, but full of potential.

We first looked at how customers enter and move through the café: the flow from door to order counter, then to seating. Every inch was considered—peaks of natural light, views outwards, wall treatment placements.

As we selected materials—wood finishes, muted color palettes, textured tiles—we aimed to balance durability (for high footfall) with aesthetics (for comfort and brand appeal). Lighting became more than utility—it curated mood, spotlighted design features, and warmed the textures.

Finally, we wove in Vastu treatments: entrance direction, seating direction, elements placed to foster calmness. The result is more than a café; it’s an experience that connects the senses, not just the palate.
